Hi Chris, just wanted to get in touch with some feedback from the first playtest of Late Nights.
Over all testers are happy with the way the game looks and find that the mechanics are intuitive and easy to understand.
Obviously sound design is lacking, but we're expecting the team to be finished with music in around 4 months. Normal playthroughs seem to be running smoothly.
However, we have concerns and complaints regarding retrying or restarting chapters. Each subsequent chapter restart seems to reduce the frame rate and cull some objects from the scene.
We believe that, instead of deleting the current iteration of the scene, the game is creating a new iteration of the scene and essentially stacking it on top of the previous iteration.
Please have a look into this before our next playtest.
Thanks,
TL.
