Hearing For You

What would it take
for you to hear me
through this resonant silence
created by time.

Sometimes I wish I could reach back
through every moment of your life
and tell you
of the ethereality
of perfection.
A thing that can never stabilise,
a thing that would shatter,
the instant it leaves
the vacuum in which it was created.
I wish that one day I could tell you
that we would have these moments
but in those instants it's hard to tell.

I wish I could tell you
that no matter how many times you have been broken
how many scars you gather through your life
no matter how many times you have your heart ripped out
you are still beautiful,
even in the absence of perfection.
No matter where we are,
no matter how much distance we create,
you are still beauty.
And I would tell you that forever,
if thats how long you needed to hear it.
