Preface

Nearer love than loss is, as the title suggests, a collections of poems about love. As someone who is not romantically inclined it tends to deal with the interplay of intimacy and distance (or at least I hope it does). These pieces were not made to resonate with a wider audience, though I hope you find something you enjoy or speaks to you.
These pieces were made somewhat in an act of selfishness, a way of processing and expressing my stances on love and relationships as someone who exists primarily in isolation.

I'd like to think of this as a collection dedicated to those who feel unseen, but I'd like to dedicate it to the people I care about but do not see as often as I should. No matter where you are, or how long it's been, I love you.
